Chamber Orchestra Ogden Concert
Chamber Orchestra Ogden will open our 2018-2019 season with a gala performance of a single work, Beethovens Symphony No. 9 in d, Opus 125.  The symphony is Beethovens longest, and clocks in at about one hour in length.  It is subtitled Choral, because in addition to the full orchestra, including low brass and percussion, Beethoven wrote for four vocal soloists and a choir, in addition to the orchestra, in the final movement.

We are very fortunate to have four excellent vocal soloists and two fine choirs for this performance.  Rachel Morris, soprano, Holly Nicole Dodson, mezzo-soprano, tenor David Sauer, and baritone Errik Hood will join the orchestra, along with the Weber State University Concert Choir, conducted by Mark Henderson and the Weber State University Alumni Choir, conducted by Evelyn Harris.  Our music director Michael Palumbo will conduct the joint forces.  All of our soloists have distinguished singing careers, and you can read more about them as they are featured individually at https://www.facebook.com/ChamberOrchestraOgden/

As always, active military, veterans, and their families, are admitted without charge, as are music students of public school age, however free tickets are only available at the door, provided there are seats available.

Well behaved children 8 years and over are welcome to attend.

For more information please visit our website: https://chamberorchestraogden.org , our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ChamberOrchestraOgden/ or contact Michael Palumbo at mpalumbo45@gmail.com; 801-624-9232.
