BIOS: RISA LICHTMAN has been cooking in restaurants throughout Portland, San Francisco & New York for a decade, including Pizzeria Delfina, Blue Hill Stone Barns, Sweedeedee & Handsome Pizza. Her biggest efforts center on gathering community around food through her pop-ups and community-building fundraiser dinners. She started hosting pop-ups out of her home in 2011, treating diners to seasonal, multi-course, community-building dinners called Sunday Supperings. She is passionate about using ingredient-driven food as a means of building community, a positive food culture, and sustainable food practices by dining together with intention. See more about her events at Lepage Food & Drinks.
FOX + BEAR is small farm, making a conscious commitment to the challenges of growing better not bigger. Fox + Bear is an urban farm newly located on Sauvie Island, celebrating the unique ability of urban agriculture to bring city folks closer to the landscapes and agricultural activities that feed them. Farmer KATIE BOEH practices hand-tending and cultivating high quality produce for community supported agriculture (CSA) members, chefs, and specialty markets.
LEAH RODGERS is inspired by the seasons and by her clients. She was formerly working on her urban farm growing vegetables with a small slice of flowers on the side, however, she's now exclusively growing flowers and foliage for design work and florists throughout Portland as Indigo Gardens. Together with her partner, Ryan, they are forever exploring the plant world and apply a sense of discovery to all aspects of their farm. When not elbow deep in the field or studio, she is visiting botanical gardens, tinkering in the kitchen and within her own diversified home gardens.
