AfroSolo Theatre Company presents, "Courage Under Fire: The Story of Elroy". A personal story about fatherhood, family, race, politics and redemption. The work explores the extraordinary life of Thomas R. Simpsons father, Elroy Simpson.
It is a very personal story of transcendence from Jim Crows insanity towards personal fulfillment through a revolutionary act. Thomas traces four generations of his family to understand the evolution of this act, and its significance in the life of Elroy and those around him. Courage Under Fire...is a multimedia theatre work that uses text, video and projections to help tell the story.
