You are invited to our Second Annual Gala, An Evening with Wisdom of the Elders, on Friday, 21 June 2013 at 6:30 p.m. If you have not yet purchased your ticket, we are offering a special this last week prior to our gala. Everyone purchasing a ticket can bring a guest for free. Those who already purchased can extend an invitation to their friends and relatives to join us.
This Evening with Wisdom is a perfect way to celebrate Summer Solstice. The keynote address is by Deana Dartt-Newton, Ph.D., curator of the Portland Art Museum Native American art collection. Music is by Cedar Rose, the duo of Nico Wind and Karen Kitchen, who will perform traditional and contemporary Native music. Rose High Bear will tell about The Caribou People and their centuries of experience addressing climate change. You can enjoy a salmon dinner and chat with Native artists, whose work are centerpieces at our live and silent auctions. See you Friday, June 21.
This event would not be possible without the support of our sponsors! Special thanks to our friends at: Providence Health & Services Oregon, the Oregon Health Authority, Metro, the City of Portland's Bureau of Planning & Sustainability, and Multnomah County Office of Sustainability. Our media sponsor is KBOO Radio.
