Elias Lammam Trio: Arabic Music Concert
World-renowned Arabic accordionist and singer Elias Lammam of Lebanon plays popular Arabic music of the mid-20th century, including songs of Oum Kholthum, Fairuz, Abdel Halim Hafez, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, the Rahbani brothers, as well as some of his own original compositions and many improvisations. The trio includes popular Syrian-American violinist Fathi Aljarrah and master riqq (tambourine) player and percussionist Antoine Lammam of Lebanon, both of whom also sing.
Elias Lammam is ... literally one of the best accordionists in the world. When Ivan Milev first saw Elias play, he kissed his fingers. When Abu Seoud first saw Elias play, he announced, "You are the new Abu Seoud!" I am told this is as impressive as it sounds." thehairpin.com/2011/10/four-things-you-probably-dont-know-about-the-accordion
