On Sunday, July 22, 2 pm to 6 pm the Josie Porter Farm will host an elegant Farm-to-Table Tasting dinner featuring local foods and chefs on the farm located in beautiful Cherry Valley. A variety of small plates, sure to appeal to our community of conscious eaters, will be served. Executive Chef Daniel Mattrocce of Lanes End Farm kitchen and his Manhattan based catering company, will prepare intriguing tapas featuring an assortment of fresh-from-the-farm foods sourced from the Josie Porter Farm and their family of growers and producers. Chef Mike Abate of the Pocono Supper Club will offer gourmet organic vegetarian plates. Sample locally made wines & hard ciders provided by RAW Winery & Hard Cidery and craft beers from Shawnee Craft Brewing Company. Guests will have the unique opportunity of visiting with and conversing with the Chefs and growers who helped provide the meal. Farm tours will also be offered. In addition, enjoy live music by the Organic Planet Duo and Michele Bautier & Walt Bibinger. Several vendors from the farm's July 21 festival will remain onsite to provide additional offerings and entertainment. A portion of the proceeds ($5 of every ticket) will go to the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) toward PASA's mission to advance sustainable agriculture education.
