The Patterson-Gimlin Film: 50 Years Later with Dr. Jeff Meldrum
The year 2017 marked the 50th anniversary of this most compelling and controversial film footage depicting what alleges to be a Bigfoot in northern California. Novel methods of analysis and contemporary scientific perspectives shed new light on the credibility of this now iconic film. Dr. Jeff Meldrum will discuss his findings and their implications.
Dr. Jeff Meldrum is a professor of anatomy and anthropology at Idaho State University. Meldrum's involvement in the Sasquatch question began after examining fresh tracks in southeastern Washingtons Blue Mountains in 1996.
He will be signing copies of his recent book "Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science" after the presentation. Books are available now for sale in the museum store.
Come early and visit the Moses Lake Museum & Art Center's summer exhibition "Sasquatch Revealed" a traveling exhibition based on curator Christopher Murphy's 2004 Sasquatch exhibition at the Vancouver Museum (BC). The museum is open Monday - Saturday from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm, general admission is free. "Sasquatch Revealed" will be on display through August 24, 2018.
