NeWTs Workshop: Neighbors Working Together
NeWTs Training: Neighbors Working Togetherfor a water-wise, fire-smart, and wildlife-friendly Sonoma Valley

When: Saturday, June 23 10:00am to 5:00pm
Cost: FREE Workshop - suggested donation ($42 value*)
Location: Mortons Warm Springs, 1651 Warm Springs Rd. Glen Ellen CA

This special workshop invites Sonoma Valley residents to spend the day along our beautiful Sonoma Creek, learning and connecting with others to create a more resilient community.  Hear from local experts about the issues, and be inspired by the solutions!

This workshop will equip you to become a leader in your community, to inspire actions that are water-wise, fire-smart, and wildlife-friendly. Learn about watershed health, fire ecology, water wise gardening, graywater systems, creating pollinator habitat, and emergency preparedness.

Presenters include Sonoma Ecology Center, Sonoma County Water Agency, Daily Acts, Sonoma State University biologist Kandis Gilmore (specializing in native pollinators), and local Fire Department representatives.

By the end of this workshop, participants have the opportunity to sign on as official Sonoma Ecology Center NeWTs Leaders - including access to three individual consultations with SEC staff to support you in taking on actions, and an invitation to our follow-up showcase and celebration in August. You will receive a reusable shopping bag full of resources, as well as admission for the day at Mortons! (Swim time during lunch break and after the workshop concludes).

Participation in this workshop is FREE! However, donations are graciously accepted. Event includes workshop plus admission to Morton's geothermal pools ($42 value). Consider contributing to Sonoma Ecology Center, and to Morton's Warm Springs' "Restore the Springs Initiative" - to support their restoration and outreach efforts on their stretch of Sonoma Creek.
