10 min - Introductions and setup Blind/modified contour drawing, examples. 10 min - Demonstration 1
10 min - Exercise Hands, shoes, etc.: learning to see
10 min - Exercise Interior space: finding shape
10 min Review
15 min - Demonstration 2 Exterior space: foreground, middle ground, background and 5-7 shapes
45 min - Exercise 3 small vignettes in foreground, middle ground, background and finding 5 -7 shapes within 1 of those views
10 min - Review Students finish painting their sketches. Instructor offers one-on-one help.
15 min - Demonstration 3 Taking a line for a walk
50 min - Exercise Taking a line for a walk
15 min - Final throwdown Review, gallery and final comments; group photo

INSTRUCTOR INFO: Anita Lehmann is a registered architect in the State of Washington, Signature Member of the Northwest Watercolor Society and a Fellow recipient from the Civita Institute in 2013. She is a 2016 KROB Winner for Hand Delineation, Professional Hand. She teaches drawing, expressive landscapes, urban sketching and watercolor in Seattle year-round. She has also taught drawing in Rome and Civita di Bagnoregio. The pencil is her natural tool. She finds economy, honesty and flow in articulating a space and evoking character and meaning through line. She resides in Seattle with her husband, two sons, and dog Izzy. http://www.ahldraws.com/
