During this two-day film festival, held here at the Columbus State University Riverside Theater Complex, is centered around environmental activism,  more than 20 short documentary and original films that showcase how individuals and communities across the globe are getting involved for the sake of our environment. Film content & genres include: outdoor adventure, endangered wildlife, urban greenspace, sustainable food sourcing, invasive species, and the wonder of our National Parks. Attending in person are several of the filmmakers and special guest panelists to discuss their films, the art of filmmaking and the stories these films tell, which inspire audiences to take action.

Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour' is a curated, touring collection of documentary & original films from the Flagship Wild & Scenic Festival, produced for over 16 years by the South Yuba River Citizens' League in Northern California, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.  The Wild & Scenic Film Festival was a concept developed to celebrate the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, signed into legislation by President Jimmy Carter; 2018 is the 5oth anniversary of this riparian protection legislation. Held annually in January, this 5 day event hosts workshops, art exhibitions, outdoor excursions, and screens more than 150 documentary and original films, drawing crowds of over 7,000 people from all over the world.  Check out their website for more information on this event: https://www.wildandscenicfilmfestival.org/about-the-festival/
