Presented by Matheatre

The radical story of Madame Marie Curie - a persistent woman who changed our understanding of the universe. Core chemistry concepts become lyrical metaphor in a radioactive biography of discovery. From the creators of the runaway MN Fringe hit "CALCULUS: THE MUSICAL!"

From growing up in Russian-occupied Poland where the higher education of women was a punishable crime to becoming the first woman to win the Nobel Prize, Marie Curie's legacy as a groundbreaking female scientist in a male-dominated world still resonates today.

"Curie Me Away!" has been performed for the National Atomic Testing Museum at the Smithsonian Institution and won the "Best of Fest" award for its debut at the Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival. Created in collaboration with a professor of Physical Chemistry, this original musical packs a scientific punch, carrying on Matheatre's long tradition of combining arts and education in "a completely unique and entertaining way" (Salt Lake Tribune).

Written and performed by SADIE BOWMAN and RICKY COATES
