SummerStrings RockFest 2018
Started by Sea Cliff musician Matthew Schneider in 2012, the SummerStrings! RockFest pairs professional musicians with youth orchestras made up of more than 80 elementary, middle and high school students. This year's RockFest, which will be held at Hofstra University's Adams Playhouse on July 25, will feature the soulful singer Troy Ramey, known for his original tunes and his chart-topping performances last spring on NBC's The Voice. Up-and-coming young vocalists Siobhan Esposito and Ella Oswald will also take part, as well as guitar guru Frank Ferrara, drummer Dan Roth and Schneider on bass.
