Run-On Sentence
SATE presents RUN-ON SENTENCE by Stacie Lents:
the professional premiere of a new play commissioned by Prison Performing Arts

SATE celebrates its twelfth year producing theatre in St. Louis with its Season of Entrapment. The 2018 season will explore the definition of entrapment: the state of being caught in or as in a trap. For the second production of its Season of Entrapment, SATE will present Run-On Sentence by Stacie Lents. Based on the experiences of female prison inmates, Run-On Sentence, tells the story of cellmates whose lives are turned upside down by the arrival of a new inmate. Commissioned by Prison Performing Arts as part of its New Plays Initiative in 2016, Run-On Sentence was initially performed by inmates at Women's Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center in Vandalia, MO and students at Fairleigh Dickinson University. SATE will produce its professional premiere.

SATE presents Run-On Sentence, June 6-9 (Wednesday-Saturday) and June 13-17 (Wednesday-Sunday) at 8:00pm, at The Chapel, 6238 Alexander Drive.

The performing ensemble includes Taleesha Cuturah, Wendy Renée Greenwood, Jamie McKittrick, Bess Moynihan, Margeau Steinau, and Kristen Strom.

Run-On Sentence is directed by Rachel Tibbetts. The production stage manager is Elizabeth Van Pelt. Set design by Bess Moynihan and lighting design by Dominick Ehling. Sound design by Ellie Schwetye and costume design by Rachel Tibbetts.

Tickets are $20.00 (general admission) and $15.00 (artists, seniors, and students) and can be purchased with cash, check or at Brown Paper Tickets. Please call (314) 827-5760, email info@slightlyoff.org or visit the SATE website at slightlyoff.org for more information.

The performance on Friday, June 15 will be a fundraiser for Prison Performing Arts with tickets priced at $30.00. Reservations for this evening will be handled by Prison Performing Arts.

SATEs Run-on Sentence is made possible by funding from Missouri Arts Council, Siteman Family Foundation, and the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission.
