MUSICIANS

SIMPLE MINDED SYMPHONY: Simple Minded Symphony is an 8-piece, young, 3rd-gen ska band from the Seattle area who are most definitely talented. Their sound is flawless and enlivening  as if Chicago played ska for a little bit, but then Patrick Stump came in and wrote Fall Out Boy songs with a horn section. Their cool 90s ska-punk rock sound will bring back memories of the good old dayslike signing yearbooks, eating ice cream cups with a wooden spoon, and watching the clock tick down on the last day of school before summer vacation. The upbeat and complete sound delivered by the brass section will energize you, and is complemented by solid guitar and percussion. The wisdom of their youth is captured in their lyrics. They are lighthearted, playful, and filled with innocence, and bring a freshly squeezed sound for a wide variety of audiences. The Simple Minded Symphony reminds us not only that life is what you make it, but more importantly who you make it with. So come join NWESC at our Summer Solstice Music Fest so we can celebrate these great musicians, and this wonderful world  together!  (band description includes excerpts from a Whats Up Magazine review written by Mark Broyles).

HANNAH DUFFY: Hannah Duffy is a singer-songwriter with a sound reminiscent of Nashville, and she connects with listeners through a shared love of heartfelt music. Her introspective writing is easily compared to classic country, folk, and Americana, drawing parallels to rainy days and Sunday mornings. Hannahs relatable songs "feel like home and her soaring vocals command attention. As a passionate horse lover and advocate, Hannah is honored to support NWESC at Hoofstock 2018.

THE SHADY RAYS BAND: The Shady Rays Band are an amalgamation of veteran musicians emboldened by the contemporary direction of electric blues. Raw electric blues is the name of the game. Sharing their appreciation and love for the genre, the objective is for a feel-good groove and energy to share. Simple and eclectic. Electric with a dash of acoustic. A blend of good vibes and tunes, aiming to please. Relax, sit back, or dance if you feel moved, good times shared by all, with all.

THE REPLICATORS:  Seattle Ska-Rock, full of energy and plenty of brass, The Replicators will make your ears bleed honey and get your dancing shoes movin' late into the summer day while offering a wide variety of eclectic cover songs and fresh originals!

LYNNWOOD SCHOOL OF ROCK: At the School of Rock Lynnwood, young students learn to rock their worlds. The School of Rock Lynnwood House Band believes in the power of the group as much as they do the thrill of a killer solo act. As representatives and stewards of the school, they play many festivals and concerts throughout the region, and support important causes such as that of NWESC. Having had real life experiences in the world of music, this band's performance-based approach amps them up to share with their audience some serious fun. So get ready to enjoy show stopping arrangements of old and new rock & roll covers ... and just be prepared to ROCK!

ERIC MUELLER: Eric's music covers the wonderful sounds of the 60's ... from Neil Young, John Prine, G. Welch, folk, to good 'ole blue grass. Be transported back to the days of 'Peace & Music' as we re-connect with each other at Cedarbrook Farms.
