The Tony Nominated and Oliver Award Winning Best Musical BLOOD BROTHERS tells the tragic story of a mother who, unable to support her children, surrenders one of her newborn twins to a childless woman. Unaware that they are brothers, the boys grow up just streets apart in vastly different homes  one wealthy, the other poor. Despite their different upbringings, they become close friends.  But when they fall in love with the same girl, their friendship is tested, and their fate sealed. This haunting musical ran for over 24 years in London's West End as well as having a successful Broadway run and is one of the best musicals rarely produced in our area. More like a play with music than a full-blown musical, this show has starred everyone from Kiki Dee, Petula Clark, Carole King and Sporty Spice as well as the Cassidy brothers - Shaun and David. Audience members are sure to fall in love with this heartrending musical about secrets kept, and the lives of good people beholden to their very worst choices.

Collingswood Community Theatre is proud to present this musical with book, lyrics and music by Willy Russell (Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine).  Directed by Kerry Mahoney, this sensational cast reunites some of your CCT summer favorites  Lisa Marcelli (Mrs. Johnston), Brian Kain (Mickey Johnston) and Ryan Adams (Edward Lyons) along with a stellar ensemble cast.  The show does contain some adult language and violence and is recommended for ages 13 and over.

Performances are Wednesday June 27, Thursday June 28 and Friday June 29 at 7:30pm in the Grand Ballroom at the Scottish Rite, 315 White Horse Pike, Collingswood, NJ  08107.  Tickets are $20 adults, $15 students and seniors.  High Tops (2 per table) are $35 and include table-service unlimited beer, wine and soda.

Because BLOOD BROTHERS addresses themes of poverty and deprivation, the cast and crew invite audience members to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Society Food Pantry at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Collingswood NJ.
