ASME STS - Thursday, May 17, 2018 - "Remote Power Applications for Critical Automation Equipment"
SPEAKER:
Raj Dyal, P.E.
Director, US Sales, GenTherm
Houston, TX

BRIEF SYNOPSIS:

When it comes to remote power, every watt counts. Remote locations with no access to dependable power present unique challenges and are a prime candidate for using automation to safely monitor and control processes. Critical automation equipment demands reliable remote power, and special attention is required when analyzing the needs. It is critical to properly size the power system. Overestimating loads drives up costs and complexity, while underestimating loads can result in power failures. This presentation will describe low to medium power applications in the 50W to 2kW range. A variety of off-grid solutions will be discussed and compared.
