The Dancing Bear Bead retreat is a very unique event. We found a quiet nice campground, close to Julian. Town is just 15 minutes away. The Paso Picacho campground is near Lake Cuyamaca. There is cell phone service, bathrooms near by. We love this campground, we have stayed there a few times and have had a great time.
The Bead Retreat per person rate includes camping and social beading.
Bead Retreat weekend pass is $100
This rate includes: 1 free bead class, 3 days of beading, lots of fun bead socializing and camping fees.
SOLD OUT-Non-beader camping fee
This rate includes: all of the camping location fees. It does not include any of the bead sessions. This fee is for any friends or family, per person, attending the weekend that want to camp but not bead.
We will have tables, chairs for classes & beading sessions. We do suggest bringing LED battery operated lamps for beading at night. The campground has rules for no generators past 8pm.
We will bring our Tipi for classroom and social beading.
The rate for the Bead retreat covers the camping fee per person and beading sessions. Class fees are at an additional cost. There are many trails around. Near by, Stonewall Peak, Green Valley falls, and Lake Cuyamaca.
We will have a small pop shop at the campground.
We will have beading sessions every day, all day.
Friday: 6pm-10pm
Saturday: 9am-10pm

If you want to attend any of the classes and you are not attending the retreat, sign up for classes on Brown Paper Tickets.
Friday and Saturday night at approx 8pm we will watch a movie projected on the Tipi!
Camping equipment is required. No more RV spaces available. There are multiple fire pits for cooking and fire pits around the reserved sites.
For those who do not want to camp in tents, there are campsite cabins available. The closest hotel is at the Viejas Resort.Those who wish to stay in the hotel still will pay the Bead Retreat fee per person in addition to the cabin/hotel fees
Parking will be at an additional cost per day. The parking fee will be payable upon arriving at the campground.
