Chautauqua at The Huntington Picnic Meals
About Chautauqua Members Event Step back in time as we re-create an early 20th-century Chautauqua, celebrating distinctly American achievements in art, music, craftsmanship, and intellectual thought. Taking as its focal point the early American art on view in the Scott Galleries including the "Becoming America" exhibition in the Jonathan and Karin Fielding Wing, the family-friendly event will include lectures, demonstrations, hands-on activities, music and dance, themed food and beverages, and guided gallery tours.
Our Picnic Boxes are thoughtfully curated to include delicious options for anyone's palette. Pick up pre-ordered Picnic Boxes at Patio Grill (behind The Rose Garden Tea Room; enter through Shakespeare Garden), pull up a hay bale, and listen to the stories and live performances of Chautauqua. Please note picnics will be served in boxes; baskets not included.
Visit The General Store for snacks, house-baked bread and pastries, Huntington orange marmalade, desserts, beer, and wine--everything you need to build the perfect picnic.
No outside food or alcohol may be brought into the event.
