Argentina Pasión! --Music, Poetry, Dance
As part of Artweek Boston, the Boston Arts Consort presents an evening of the music, poetry, and dance of Argentina, culminating in a dance party for all. Mezzo-soprano Clara Sandler sings works by Guastavino and Ginastera and tango songs, poet Beatriz Alba del Rio reads from the great Argentine poets as well as from her original works, and tango dancer Silvana Brizuela brings you the country's unique dance form, tango, performing and teaching you some of its steps while you enjoy refreshments. A night not to be missed!
