Erin Dubois In Concert
The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts presents an evening with flutist Erin Dubois in the Bernier Room at the Rochester Community Center. The concert will take place on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at 4pm.
As independent flutist, teacher, and collaborative artist specializing in new music, flutist Erin Dubois is dedicated to promoting new music through performance and educational programs. She has appeared throughout New England as a soloist, teacher, and clinician, as well as a member of various ensembles. She currently teaches private flute lessons at her home in Nashua, NH. She is on staff at Let's Play Music and Make Art, LLC in Manchester, NH and a flute teacher for Lowell Learns in Lowell, MA. Erin also directs the Litchfield High School Flute Choir.
In the past, Erin has performed in many different settings including performances with The Tim Janis Ensemble, Duo Dubois (a flute and percussion duo with her husband Kyle Dubois), various orchestras and chamber ensembles including First Flute in the Refugee Orchestra Project and the Precious Metals Flute Ensemble , and she has performed extensively throughout New England on Contemporary Music tours with pianist Andrew D'Antonio. She is currently on the substitute list for Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Symphony NH, NH Philharmonic, Belmont Festival Orchestra, and the Lowell Philharmonic.
Erin holds an MM in Flute Performance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst studying under Christopher Krueger and a BM in Flute Performance from the University of Southern Maine studying under Jean Rosenblum. Additionally, she has attended masterclasses at Le Domaine Forget, the Julius Baker Masterclass and the ARIA International Summer Music Academy performing in masterclasses with Alexa Still, Marya Martin, Susan Hoeppner, Mathieu Dufour, Conor Nelson, and Robert Dick.
