First Fridays with Jinan's Kitchen
FIRST FRIDAYS WITH JINAN'S KITCHEN:
Come grab lunch on the first Friday of every month from Jinan's Kitchen! They'll be serving fresh, savory, authentic Iraqi cuisine here at Mad Priest from 11:30am-1pm. Tickets go on sale on Monday the week of the lunch.
Wahab and Jinan recently launched Jinan's Kitchen to share their heart with Chattanooga through authentic Iraqi cuisine. They will be selling Non-veg and Veg to-go dishes for lunch (and occasionally their baklava!), and the menu is different each month so you get to try all kinds of Middle Eastern food!
APRIL MENU:
Double Stuffed Potato Spring Roll -- imagine a spring roll married to a baked potato...
Eggplant Salad -- This spectacular salad is a tangy orchestra in your mouth. Garden vegetables including tomato, spring onion, green capsicum and parsley are roughly chopped up and then coated with a rich and thick pomegranate molasses dressing. But the star of the salad is the silky fried aubergine (eggplant) that's carefully mixed up.
Kubba Mosul -- This is one of the most famous and authentic Iraqi dishes. It is basically a meat pie, with two layers of bulgar dough mixed with beef and then stuffed with the beef and almonds, and flattened to make a circle. For VEG or VEGAN we use soymeat.
