A Path More Wild- An Evening with Storyteller Jéhan Òsanyìn
A Path More Wild- An Evening with Storyteller Jéhan Òsanyìn Tuesday, May 22 6:00pm-7:30pm Free, but advanced sale tickets required The Royal Room, Columbia City
Experiences in the Wild can bring about feelings of excitement, relaxation, and peace for many. And to protect and preserve our wilderness areas we should strive to share these experiences with new audiences.
Jéhan Òsanyìn facilitates developmentally appropriate wilderness experiences for folks of all ages. In addition to her talents as a coppersmith, poet, storyteller, playwright, and actor, Jéhan is the Founding Executive Director of Earthseed Seattle. Earthseed uses theatre in Wild spaces to decolonize those spaces and the bodies that pass through them.
Seward Park Audubon is excited to welcome Jéhan to the Royal Room to share selections from her autobiographical solo show Yankee Pickney, perform some of her poetic work, and deliver humorous anecdotes about her personal experiences touching the lives of young people, and introducing them to Wilderness spaces.
