Much of lifes conflicts and misunderstandings between people can be traced back to lack of effective communication, specifically listening. This practical learning session focuses on the key elements of active listening and how to communicate with others to get your goals met while building, growing, maintaining or restoring mutual relationships.
Participants will leave this session with: An understanding of basic active listening skills and its importance in maintaining and restoring relationships Opportunity to put into practice the skills learned in the session A personalized plan to continue skill development beyond the workshop
About the Presenter Judith A. Rowe is passionate about using a strengths-based approach to help others realize their full potential in life. Her consulting company, Judith A. Rowe Consulting, LLC, has a focus on training, facilitation, coaching, career development, and wellness. Judy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Master of Industrial Labor and Relations degree from Cornell University. She is certified to train StandOutTM Advantage, a personal and organizational culture and branding program. Judy held various roles during her 27-year tenure at Corning Incorporated. Prior to Corning Incorporated, she held engineering positions with Mobil Corporation, Loudon County Sanitation Authority, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and MIT Associates. Judy resides in Horseheads, NY with her phenomenal family.
