Jane Barnes Revue - 2018
The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association's "Jane Barnes Revue" is a show stopping topsy-turvy fashion show, featuring some of Astoria's finest men and women donning big wigs and beautiful dresses to cavort down a 24 catwalk at the The Ruins @the Astor, on April 7th.
Originally meant to celebrate Jane Barnes, the first European woman of Astoria, as part of the Bicentennial Celebrations in 2011, the Revue has become a delightful and hilarious evening of Citizen Janes divulging their other sides while raising money for a great organization. This year, 2018 we have a great list of your favorites, some returning, some brand new.
This year the lineup is robust and diverse, showcasing some of our favorite acts performed by local business people old and new. With the addition of a live auction last year, the Jane Barnes Revue has transformed into a vitally important fundraiser.
Our success is made possible by the outpouring of support from our local community and business sponsors. Event sponsors include Holly McHone Jewelers, Astoria Coffeehouse and Bistro, Baked Alaska, Buoy Beer Co., Fort George Brewery, Malama Day Spa, T.Pauls Supper Club. And of course, we couldn't do it without all of our Jane's: local men and women who make the event successful with their silliness!
ADHDA strives to encourage community involvement and investment in preserving the character of historic downtown Astoria while promoting its health and future. Working with a community of volunteers, the City of Astoria, partnering organizations, and particularly the 45 volunteers serving on the Board of Directors and the six committees, we continually enhance and strengthen our downtown.
We invite you to join us in giving to this valuable organization. Membership in the ADHDA is open to individuals and businesses regardless of location. If you are interested in participating and supporting the growing energy in ADHDA's efforts to enhance our historic downtown please contact Sarah Lu Heath at 503-791-7940 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
