Titan Drama Productions Presents: THE MIRACLE WORKER
At the age of 18 months, Helen Keller became deaf and blind due to illness, plunging her into a silent world of darkness and confusion, leaving her frustrated and violent. Enter her miracle teacher, Annie Sullivan, a "half-blind Yankee schoolgirl" Helen's parents hired to tutor their daughter. Annie immediately suspects that beneath Helen's veneer of tantrums, lies an intelligent girl, and though just 20 years old, Annie is persistent in her approach to break through the walls of silence and darkness in her 7 year-old pupil. We know the outcome, for Helen Keller became world famous not only for her intellect, but especially as an advocate for the disabled and for women's rights. Come witness the true story of how Helen's world broke open because of an amazing teacher, her "miracle worker".
