GISELLE LA TRENT THE GAZELLEPHANT - A Musical Reading
GISELLE LA TRENT THE GAZELLEPHANT is a children's musical that follows a half-gazelle, half-elephant girl named Giselle on her first day at Thomas Girafferson Elementary School. Giselle wants to be a famous rockstar more than anything else in the world, which is why she gets upset when some of the other kids aren't her biggest fans. After a series of name calling and pranks only makes the situation worse, Giselle and the rest of the kids learn a valuable lesson in acceptance and being nice to one another.
Songs Include: "Rockstariest Rockstar" "Thomas Girafferson Alma Mater" "Meant to Be" "Getting Even" "Gotta Keep On Shining" "Nice"
Run-time: approximately 40 minutes. Recommended for ages 5-11.
At this event, actors of Aggregate Theatre Company will perform a rough draft of the script and songs of GAZELLEPHANT, which Aggregate is developing for a full production to be performed at Church on Morgan in August of 2018. This reading, which will take place in the lobby of Church on Morgan, is not a formal performance as actors will be seated with their scripts and music in their hands. This is an opportunity for audiences to get a behind-the-scenes look at the musical theatre development process and get a sneak peek at what will be coming to Church on Morgan this summer.
