TWO BY KAFKA: UNHAPPINESS and THE METAMORPHOSIS presented by Clarion Theater at LaTea Theater.
Kafka considered UNHAPPINESS one of his most brilliant stories. This world premiere performance traces a day in the life of a tenant, and his relationship with an unexpected visitor. Featuring Donald Mann as the Tenant, Maria Hoffman as his Friend, and Madalyn Pedone as the Visitor. THE METAMORPHOSIS, considered one of the greatest short novels in literature, is coupled with UNHAPPINESS for a thrilling evening of theater. Alexander Pepper is featured as Gregor Samsa, the young man who wakes to find himself transformed into a gigantic insect, his sister Grete is played by Madalyn Pedone; Maria Hoffman plays Mrs. Samsa, Roger Ziegler is Mr. Samsa. Harrison Benjamin appears as the Chief Clerk, and Joshua Pyne enters the play to rent a room as the Boarder. Barbara Bregstein directs. Sound by Nestor Rodriguez, costumes by Derek Lockwood, and lights by Yi-Chung Chen.
