This class offers all the benefits of the Thursday morning and Saturday afternoon Mercury Movers classes with an additional focus on creative exploration and developing work for performance. The class combines appropriately paced contemporary dance technique to improve physical strength and flexibility alongside improvisation, with the aim of giving participants the opportunity to express, create and communicate their ideas with others. Each term the group will explore a new idea or theme stimulated by Rambert's vast repertoire in a fun and inspiring environment.
Mercury Movers past performances include; National Theatres Riverstage (2017), Ignition Dance Festival (2018), MOVE it (2018), Breathe at Guys Hospital (2018).
Class level: This class is open to older dancers (60+) with performance experience or those who wish to develop their confidence and creative performance skills for the first time.
Summer Term 2018 (12 weeks)
Start: Wednesday 18 April
Half Term: w/c 28 May
End: Wednesday 11 July
