The Art of Facilitation with Franci Saunders
Meetings take up a huge portion of our time. Sometimes they may seem to drag on with little accomplished. But, have you sometimes been surprised at how efficient a meeting was conducted and how energized you felt afterwards?
Efficient and effective meetings don't have to be an accident. Any well-facilitated meeting will give close attention to the two key components: the framework and the dialogue. A facilitator that does so will reap the rewards of meetings that are productive, constructive, and energizing.
In this intensive 3-hour training, participants will:
Gain a thorough understanding the two fold nature of effective meeting facilitation (framework and dialogue )
Learn the key elements of an effective framework that both creates and holds the meeting space
Learn a number of dialogue-supporting skills of amplification used to clarify and humanize the meeting's dialogue and interactions
Learn and practice practical applications of these valuable facilitation skills
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Franci Saunders provides conflict coaching, mediation and facilitation services for the Community Dispute Resolution Center(CDRC) in Ithaca. She holds an M.S. in Education and a M.A. in Counseling. Franci draws on 20 years of professional experience working as a counselor and educator to help people in conflict find creative ways forward. She has served the CDRC as a trained certified mediator and staff member since 2016.
