the kates: university - storytelling
the kates mission is to showcase talented female identified performers by creating inclusive and positive environments; which encourages artists to express their point of view in unique and non-apologetic ways.

This seven week all female storytelling class involves a careful examination of the writer's voice via personal narrative with an emphasis on story development, exploration of personal experiences, editing, and presentation. It is an exploratory course primarily for writers interested in Chicago's Live Lit community. However, it also meets the needs of students with other interests: as a refresher course for both writers and actors, novice writers, and students and professionals looking to hone point of view and public speaking skills. The class will culminate in a student graduation showcase.

Dates include: Thursdays 7pm - 9pm January 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st and February 7th, 14th Graduation to be held on the week of (February 21st or 28th)

Classes will take place at  Under the Gun Theatre 956 W Newport Ave, Chicago, IL 60657
