Protecting your clever ideas: Intellectual Property and the Entrepreneur

Everywhere you look, you see symbols like ®, ™, © and Pat. Pending. But you may not understand the specific purpose of each of these labels. If youve ever had a clever idea and wondered how you could protect it in the marketplace, youll want to attend this session with the two Daves (Black and Dzurilla). Theyre patent attorneys from Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner, and theyll be clearing up confusion and providing helpful guidance on the ins and outs of intellectual property laws. Theyll answer questions such as: Whats the difference between a trade secret and a patent? Should I trademark my companys logo? I think I have a brilliant new idea, but how can I make sure Im not unintentionally copying it? How do I keep my best intellectual property from walking out the door? Come prepared with your questions, quandaries and confusions, and the two Daves will do their best to help.
