The League of Women Voters, an outgrowth of the women's suffrage movement, was formed as a nonpartisan civic organization that could provide the education and experience the public needed to assure the success of democracy. That mission persists today. Since the LWVCLA's recognition as an official League in 1968, members have worked hard to encourage citizen participation in local, state and national government and to provide comprehensive information on public policy issues. Over the years, the League has conducted in-depth studies relevant to local environmental and governmental issues, leading to testimony and action.
Tickets $20 each in advance, $25 at the door (if available).
