Ruth: A Musical Drama
The acclaimed music ensemble Arcady will be presenting Ronald Beckett's internationally renowned and beloved musical drama Ruth on Thursday, March 8, 7:30pm at the Cambridge Arts Theatre (47 Water St. S). The drama follows the life of Ruth, an independent, strong, and hopeful woman as she searches for a better life for herself and her people. Ruth is a moving story of immigration and welcoming others into your land. Falling on International Women's Day, this special performance will serve as a celebration of women, as well as a celebration of our diverse and welcoming community. Cambridge residents will have the opportunity to hear Arcady's professional cast of artists presenting the 21st production of this heartwarming and beautiful drama. The work was written in 1996 by Brantford composer Ronald Beckett to the words of Brantford librettist Roger Bayley.
