Schumann - Sonata No.1 in A minor Op.105 J.S. Bach - Partita No.1 in B minor for violin solo, BWV1002 Beethoven - Romance in G major, Op.40 Ysaye - Caprice after a study in the form of a waltz (Op.52-6) by Saint-Saens
Kelly (age 17) was born in Japan and started playing the violin at the age of seven. In her young career, Kelly has performed with the Seattle Symphony, Montgomery Symphony, and Oregon Symphony. She has participated in master classes with prominent violinists through the Stradivarius Society in Chicago and studies privately with Cyrus Forough.
In 2012, Kelly was selected as a Finalist in the Stulberg International String Competition. Recently she was a Young Arts Finalist in Miami. Other achievements include the 2012 Elaine & Jerome Nerenberg Scholarship and 2011 Farwell-Trust Scholarship from the Musicians Club of Women, finalist at the 2012 Johansen International Competitions, first prize at the 2011 Blount-Slawson Competition, laureate at the 2011 Thomas & Evon Cooper International Competition, the 2011 Schmidbauer Competition, and the 2011 Crain-Maling Foundation Youth Auditions with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
