Sounds From The Underground Concert Series Anniversary (Featuring THE TREE-O OF LOVE!)
Sounds From The Underground was formed in February of 2012 by Jacob Deaton...who had realized after countless late night talks with Atlanta-based musicians that more venues were needed to support art based music. As we celebrate a year that featured over 40 different composers and hundreds of musicians we've decided to celebrate!
From Feb 11th-16th Elliott Street Pub will feature the best acts of this year PLUS brand new acts yet to be seen by audiences to celebrate the year gone by and the the years to come! Be apart of the movement in ATL! Creative music lives HERE!
***THE TREE-O OF LOVE***
The Tree-O of Love is a highly-interactive music experience featuring some of Atlanta's finest jazz players. Akeem Marable, Craig Shaw, and Justin Chesarek stemmed from the Justin Chesarek Quintet in January of 2010 to start a new band that focused on original compositions and pushing the envelope of local jazz music. The Tree-O pulls inspiration from the great swing artists like Oscar Peterson with the discovery factor of Ornette Coleman. Though their repertoire consists of mainly original music, the Tree-O of Love is known to tip the cap to jazz classics as well as contemporary popular music. Their home is the famous Churchill Grounds Jazz Club on Peachtree Street of Atlanta. Jazz fans from all over the world visit the club on Wednesday nights to hear the progressive music played by the Tree-O of Love. Their first CD is entitled "The Tree-O of Love Live on Woodward Avenue Featuring Ryan Rosello" and is currently available directly from the band or on iTunes.
