Arvel Bird Makeup Concert
LAVA Music proudly presents Arvel Bird, will perform in the beautiful Abounding Grace Sanctuary. Note: This is a make-up show for the January 19 show that Arvel was unable to perform due to injuring his arm that day.
Arvel's early training in classical violin, combined with his years on the road with Glen Campbell, Loretta Lynn, Louise Mandrell, Clay Walker, and others plus his Native American and Celtic roots, have helped to shape a style and a presence that is all his own.
With 20 CD and 2 DVD releases, ARVEL BIRD, is one of the most sought after live acts in the nation. Logging over 500,000 miles, his tour schedule keeps him on the road and connecting with fans the old-fashioned way, with dynamic, live performances. To Arvel, that means being on tour year round blending his fiddle, Native American flutes and Celtic whistles into scorching instrumentals with inspirational and funny stories that pull you into his world of music and songs. The result is a high-energy performance that will have you moving in your seat and on your feet.
Equally at home in front of 10,000 cheering fans at an international festival, performing with a symphony orchestra, or in front of 200 patrons in an intimate venue like Abounding Grace Sanctuary, Arvel Bird has created a truly unique sound and an exciting live show. The emotion and complexity of Arvel Bird's music speaks to his brilliant compositions and stunning performances.
His most recent album is Titanic Centennial: Commemorative Special Edition, which was released in January 2012 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the "journey" of the world's most famous ship. This and three of his other CDs were signed by Pat Boone's Gold Label Record Company in Hollywood, CA.
"My music is born from my two identifiable cultures, Native American on my Mother's side and Scottish on my Father's. I didn't plan it that way", Arvel explains, "it's just the music of my soul. I love sharing that part of myself with my fans, old and new."
Arvel Bird will perform at Abounding Grace Sanctuary, 2450 S. Kolb, just north of Golf Links on the west side of Kolb, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Advance tickets are $15 online (service charge will be applied by Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets will be, all $20 cash at the door. Doors open at 6:30.
