Join James Beard Award-winning chef Tiberio Simone and photographer Matt Freedman for a Valentine's party you will never forget! Their book "La Figa: Visions of Food and Form" (www.LaFigaProject.com / Facebook.com/LaFigaProject) features a spectacular collection of sensual photography -- models wearing nothing but Simone's edible creations. Using the human body as his canvas, and natural fresh ingredients as his paint, Simone worked with Freedman for over five years and fifty photo shoots to create this collection of elegant and tasteful nude images.
On Saturday February 9th, BlackRapid will open the doors to our brand new Workshop/Studio space and we invite you to join us. Tiberio will be creating his unique art of food and the human body on models -- and perhaps even volunteers from the audience! He will also be preparing a selection of his signature treats for you. All of this is included (along with complimentary wine and beer) with your admission.
For only $20 more, your ticket will also include a signed copy of "La Figa: Visions of Food and Form" (normally $39.95) the perfect Valentine's gift. "La Figa" is The Next Generation Indie Book Awards 2012 Coffee Table / Photography book of the year. In addition to the the incredible photography, this 192 page hardcover book includes 20 of Tiberio's favorite recipes, and 40 essays about food, love, and life.
