Film & New Media Dinner Party
The Greater Erie Film Officewould like to invite you to attend our first annual Film & New Media Dinner Party on March, 31st at 6pm at the Ambassador Conference Center.

We are very excited to be giving back to the community we serve by hosting thisevent, the first of its kind. Over the past four years, we have assisteddozens of local individuals who work in film, TV, producing, writing, animation, and editing. Each year the local film industry grows stronger as more and more residents become involved in new media fields.For the first time wewill bringALLof these hardworking people together so they can meet, socialize, and celebrate their accomplishments.

Forty local filmmakers are being handpicked to attend this event at no cost, as our gift to them. We are honoring these individuals byhosting this dinner in their honor and spotlighting their work.

The film industryis as much an artistic platform as it is a vehicle for economic development, to that end, we strive to unite Erie's creatives with its businesses and community leaders. This event is not meant to be an exclusive filmmaker only evening, but rather a hospitable occasion allowing relationships to be built among our achievers.

At the film office, the service we provide above all is linking individuals with others to allow their projects to take shape. This event will be packed full of potential clients, collaborators, partners, andemployers.

We willstart the evening with a pre-party happy hour featuring complimentary top shelf drinks in the beautiful Hemingway Ballroom and accompanying music from local musicianLeeanna Golembiewski.Following, willbean exquisite meal provided by the Ambassadors head chef.

We are also bringing in some of the areas cutting edge film and new media resources for all to experience including:

Greater Erie Arts Rental from Penn State Behrend with a 4K CameraDemo Display.

Slow-Mo Video Boothkeepsakes brought to you by RFrank Photography.

Oculus Rift VR Gaming Development presented by theMath and Computer Science Department atEdinboro University.

And a unique Augmented Reality Experience specifically tailored to our event.


By hosting this event we aim to accomplish a number of tasks:

Spread our mission of providing assistance, support, and education for regional film production.

Honor the achievements of 40 local filmmakers and 2 specially chosen filmmakers.

Announce the winner of our 2017 Short Film Contest.

Create a social environment for people to become exposed tothe tools, resources,individuals, and opportunities our new media community has to offer.
