Invisible Audience Presents: Monocle Band
Join us for Invisible Audience presents Monocle Band - Americana from Boulder, CO The magic of the western United States. The mysticism of Colorado. The richness of the Americana-folk music scene. Boulder-based quintet Monocle Band takes all of these influences, and combines them into a sonic destination sweeping fans into a storied journey through bluegrass, roots rock, and beyond.
With the new album The Clearing released on October 20, 2017 and celebrated with sold-out show at Planet Bluegrass in Lyons, CO, the band is accomplishing the goal of staying true to its established bluegrass and folk roots, while opening the door up to more diverse influences. The addition of more electric guitar, piano, and different sonic textures adds up to a gleaming, all-encompassing Americana sound that will please both new and old aficionados of the group alike.
Monocle Band provides a captivating performance in a broad variety of settings - from club dates to festival stages, listening rooms to late night dance parties. The group is available to play in any setting imaginable and can be booked as an acoustic duo or trio, bluegrass string band, or full quintet with drums.

About Invisible Audience: In an effort to increase access to great music from Colorado and beyond, Invisible Audience is a new initiative at the Center for Musical Art (CMA) that brings together the arts of recording and performance. Led by recording engineer and music enthusiast, Duncan Taylor, Invisible Audience will launch recording sessions featuring talented musicians from across the nation. Equipped with both high-quality recording equipment and video capability, these intimate performances will be released on CMAs YouTube channel for all to enjoy.
A new partnership with Boulder-based audio company, PS Audio, will elevate Invisible Audience through utilization of the industrys highest quality audio equipment to create high-resolution recordings. Artists will be able to utilize these quality recordings for their own marketing purposes while simultaneously providing the public with access to fantastic music.
Following recording sessions, select musicians will hold an additional, ticketed performance in CMAs Founders Hall. This branch of the initiative- Invisible Audience Presents- is a new take on CMAs community-centric Kaleidoscope series. Curated by Duncan Taylor, Invisible Audience Presents promises to bring exciting new talent to the CMA stage, to promote local musicians, and to nurture the live music scene in East Boulder County. We are thrilled to be establishing new partnerships and investing in new, innovative programming here at CMF & CMA! Invisible Audience promises to be a fantastic, fresh take on our longstanding vision of Music for All, for Life!
