SYNOPSIS: Set in a little north woods Minnesota bar, Gunner Johnson is the host of a radio show called, "Crappie Talk," devoted entirely to ice fishing for Crappies. Gunner has no listeners, so he loses his only advertiser, Kanutes Bait Mart and Deer Petting Farm. Gunners wife, Clara, hosts "Book Beat." She has all the listeners, and all the advertisers. Gunner has issues with that. Problems escalate for the competitive couple, and are compounded when two, fish-out-of-water, Brooklyn Italians come to the rural Minnesota town, buy the radio station, and turn everything on its ear.
