RICHARD THE SECOND Staged Reading, upstart crow collective
upstart crow collective, Seattle's all-female classical company, is presenting a staged reading of Shakespeare's RICHARD THE SECOND. The all-female cast will include a power house of Seattle actresses lead by director Rosa Joshi. Perhaps the most lyrical of all the history plays, Shakespeares RICHARD THE SECOND begins the epic story of the War of the Roses. Ill suited as a King, the poetic monarch Richard loses his kingdom to his cousin Henry Bolingbroke, but in so doing gains the knowledge of who he is as person. Join upstart crow collective as we continue to examine Shakespeare's political war plays through the lens of the 21st century.
