The Finishers is the story of 17-year-old Julien, who is hungry for adventure and on a mission to gain independence. Despite the limitations of his cerebral palsy, Julien challenges his estranged father to participate with him in the Ironman Race in Nice, France. Loosely based on a true story, the film presents one familys extraordinary journey and a moving portrait of the bond between father and son.
Discussion immediately following the film with special guests: Doug Powell, a Triathlon athlete and Ironman competitor with a visual impairment, and local hero, runner Jamie Watts, who has a physical disability.
