10th Biennial Skagit River Poetry Festival, La Conner, WA
10th Biennial Skagit River Poetry Festival, La Conner, WA May 17-20 celebrates poetry with poets Robert Pinsky, Ellen Bass, Ada Limon, Tina Chang, Brian Turner and 25 other remarkable poets.  Opening night reading May 17, 2018, is titled:  Dear America: Poems in Times of Turmoil and headlines Robert Pinsky, Ada Limon, Brian Turner, Lena Khalaf Tuffaha and music by Hot Damn Scandal. The four day festival continues Friday, May 18 after high school students leave at 2:30 PM.  The evening includes all festival poets reading one poem of not longer than two minutes.  Poets from past festivals will also perform for this session. Festival continues with sessions in various venues in downtown historic La Conner Saturday, May 19, 2018.  Festival concludes on Sunday, May 20, 2018 with workshops offered by some festival poets.
