N. Scott Momaday is a Kiowa novelist, essayist, poet, professor, and painter. His follow-up work, The Way to Rainy Mountain, blended Kiowa folklore with memoir. He was designated UNESCOs Artist for Peace in 2004. Momaday received the National Medal of Arts in 2007 for his works celebration and preservation of indigenous oral and art traditions. Momaday holds twenty honorary degrees from colleges and universities, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Robert Redford is an actor, director, producer, and environmental activist. He began acting in the early 1960s and has received Academy and Emmy nominations and awards. He is the founder of the Sundance Film Festival and in April 2014, Time magazine included him in their annual Time 100 as one of the "Most Influential People in the World". In 2016, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama. He has served as a trustee for the Natural Resources Defense Council and is the co-founder of The Redford Center with his son Jamie.

Jill Momaday is a film producer, director, actor, and a noted public speaker.
