Kate McDermott's Art of the Pie at Pie Cottage/Port Angeles, WA: Taught by Duncan McDermott Graham
This is the original hands-on Art of the Pie 4-hour workshop created by Kate McDermott. This workshop will be taught by Kate's son Duncan McDermott Graham. Duncan has been baking with his mom, Kate McDermott, since he could climb up on the baking counter. Following in the family tradition, Duncan, like his mom, is an award winning piemaker, and a 4th generation teacher.
Included in each workshop class are all ingredients, recipes, yummy snack and more. You will learn the lifetime skill of how to make Kate McDermott's Art of the Pie Crust, a seasonal fruit filling, pie lore plus so much more!
Each student will finish class with a pie hot from the oven or ready to bake at home.
Included in your class are a pie pan, take home ingredients so you can make another dough as soon as possible, and a signed copy of Kate McDermott's book ART OF THE PIE: A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO CRUSTS, FILLINGS, AND LIFE which received a 2017 James Beard Nominations and has been called "one of the best books written on the subject."
Workshop will be held in Port Angeles, WA; Address will be sent to attendees upon registration.
Please note: This workshop is not Gluten Free. Vegetarian (all butter) option is available. This workshop is taught by Duncan McDermott Graham. Kate McDermott may not be in attendance.
