We move through the flamenco tradition exploring its impact on the modern world, juxtaposing what once was with glimpses of what lays ahead, dusty roads with urban landscapes, classical flamenco with something else yet unnamed. Something raw and of its moment, of this city, Chicago, something that exists in the continuum of the eternal beat of flamenco: knowledge is in the beat, work is in the beat, life force is in the beat. And their transmission is in the continuum of the beat.

In this journey, KANTUZ collaborates with HVNTER GVTHERER, a Chicago-based artist and jeweler to present her latest IRON AGE collection, born of a forge and a hammers toil. Born of the beat.

Also collaborating with KANTUZ in this concert will be the flamenco & butoh and breakdance movement artists Eryka Dellenbach and Edo G-dai.
