Exploring Mexico's Underwater Caves with Natalie L Gibb
Manitoba Divers!!!
If you ever wonder what lays beyond the signs that guard the entrance of caves, if you are curious about what type of people lay those main guidelines that direct us in and out of the caves safely, if you are fortunate enough to dive cave systems or if you just want to learn more about cave exploration in Mexico, this presentation is for you.
Natalie is the owner of Under the Jungle, a technical and cave diving center in the Riviera Maya. Along with being a full time cave diving instructor, Natalie is also an explorer in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula where she has lived for the last eleven years.
With business and exploration partner, Vincent Rouquette-Cathala, Natalie has explored and surveyed more than twenty cave systems in Mexico, charted over forty kilometers of cave passageway, ranging from beautiful shallow caves, to bacterial caves, to sea caves with flow reversal, including what was once the area's longest single-entry cave system.
Come join us at Winnipeg's Millennium Library in the Buchwald room for an afternoon of cave exploration and diving with our guest speaker, Natalie L Gibb.
Free street parking is available as are a variety of pay options in and around the library.
