Quarx began in the Baton Rouge area, playing venues such as the Varsity Theater and the Spanish Moon, and stemmed from the songwriting of Alaric Fricke (rhythm guitar, vocals) in 2017. Jonathan Zeringue (bass) came in to the picture shortly thereafter, followed by Tom Periou (drums, vocals) and Keagan Soto (Lead Guitar).
