The WiredArts Fest - TITS and Huis Clos ("No Exit")
Following a sold-out run in Manhattan, Lauren Rayner Productions presents Jean Paul Sartre's Huis Clos ("No Exit") performed in the original French text with English subtitles. Sartre describes his "hell" as other people. Those who are watching us, judging us, keep us awake. Forever our three characters are forced to live together and to torture in turn. Their hell gradually takes shape before their eyes as they reveal their lives and their tastes and cowardice. Directed by Roxane Revon.
TITS is a one woman show by playwright and performer Ege Maltepe. Prof Bade Gediklioglu, known as the professor of the female body in the academic circles of Turkey, is in NYC on a Fulbright scholarship to conduct a research for her PhD thesis, on the subject of female breasts and their role on our social lives. In her 40 min. "lecture" Prof G will share her ideas, stories, and experiences while conducting this research on TITS.
Join our in-house audience! Really it's not so different from any night at the theater- there will be a few camera's there- but they're small. And we encourage you to take pictures, tweet and facebook away!*
*some companies may ask you to put your technology away - but others will welcome all your gadgets with open arms.
