Big Jones Restaurant Exclusive Preview Party
Chicago chef Paul Fehribach is pleased to announce the opening date of April 9 for his new restaurant in Andersonville, Big Jones; but you can be one of the first in the neighborhood to try his fresh approach to southern dining at an exclusive preview party on Tuesday, April 8. Enjoy samplings of the entire Big Jones menu plus complimentary cocktails and selected wines from the restaurant's list.
Come to this exclusive preview party to be exposed to sustainable business practices from Fehribach who has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant business and was an early promoter of the "farm-to-the-table movement" as the executive chef at Indiana's Chapman's Restaurant and Laughing Planet Cafe. Laughing Planet Cafe, a nationally renowned restaurant was featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and National Public Radio for its innovative offerings and environmentally sound practices.
All proceeds from the event will benefit ECO-Andersonville, an initiative of the Andersonville Development Corporation aimed at lowering Andersonvilles carbon footprint and building sustainable community through a local green business certification program, coordinated business district recycling, community composting, and group purchasing of sustainble business materials.
Big Jones makes its home in a completely renovated space formerly occupied by Augie's at 5347 N. Clark. The restaurant's warm and welcoming interior evokes the feeling of a cafe in old Charleston or New Orleans, with brightly colored walls, iron chandeliers and high ceilings.
Andersonville architect Joel Berman redesigned this completely reinvisioned space which is a welcome addition to Andersonville's growing dining and entertainment establishments.
